Peppermint vs Head Tension

I have suffered with horrible head tension for several years now. From the discomfort in my head, to the discomfort in my teeth, sensitivity to light, and my stomach being upset, it is just something that I am tired of dealing with. The thing that I hate the most about having head tension is dealing with the loads of medications that are supposed to help. I have tried many ways to help with head tension and while some of the routes I have gone temporarily remove the tension they also have many other drawbacks.

Peppermint has become my go to oil when it comes to head tension. It works like a charm at relieving the discomfort in my head, the sensitivity to light, and achy teeth. I love this oil and always keep it on hand. I use the oil on my neck. I simply put a few drops on my hand and rub it on my neck and then breathe it in as well. Not only does this oil smell so good but it works quickly at relieving everything that comes with unbearable head tension.

Other Uses for Peppermint:

  • Promotes healthy respiratory function
  • Energizing and cooling aroma
  • Used in toothpaste and chewing gum for oral health
  • Alleviates occasional stomach upset
  • Use a drop of peppermint with lemon in water for a healthy, refreshing mouth rinse
  • Rub on child's shirt to help with alertness and focus

Well, in this "oils verses problem" scenario, peppermint wins in my book!
